Mother’s Day Special | Carve a small bowl with Rachel from Waiting for Spring

Mother’s Day Special

Step into the world of wood carving and create something truly special!

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to carve your very own wooden bowl or dish. A perfect blend of function and art.

Join Rachel Shaw from Waiting for Spring

A woodcarver based on the South Coast, as she guides you through the art of carving with a thoughtful, contemporary touch. Blending traditional techniques with a modern aesthetic, Rachel creates beautiful and functional pieces—spoons, butter knives, pickle forks, and small dishes—from salvaged and reclaimed wood.

In these welcoming workshops, Rachel invites you to slow down, reconnect with your hands, and explore the quiet satisfaction of making something by hand. Using simple hand tools like a woodcarving knife and gouge, you’ll learn to shape, smooth, and finish your design.

Whether you're brand new to carving or rediscovering your creative spark, you’ll leave the session with your own hand-carved small bowl or dish: a unique piece to keep, gift, or use with pride.
