Woodcarving workshop with International Woodworker Rex Kaleoff | Sculpting a Mirror or Comb

Rex Kalehoff is a New Yorker living in Luxembourg who creates sculptures that are functional & resemble items from ancient times. We are very lucky to secure Rex for this 2 day weekend workshop while he is travelling in Australia. Rex will work with participants to sculpt, carve & build original combs and / or mirrors. Participants will learn to design and create their ideas while using a variety of hand tools and machines in Australian hardwood timber at the Illawarra Woodwork school workshop.

The emphasis of this workshop is to create a 3 D sculptural object that is functional while using a mixture of hand tools & machines. Rex believes in using the best tool to get the best result. These sculptures will enable participants to find their creative voice whilst learning the technical side of unfamiliar tools and the sculpting process.

This 2 day weekend workshop is for the absolute beginner to the advanced woodworker, Over 16 years only.
